Digital Materials: eBooks, Audio & More

OverDrive is a service offered by Newburgh Free Library and the RCLS system that lets you borrow digital content (like eBooks and audiobooks) anytime, anywhere. Every OverDrive collection is slightly different because each library and library system picks the digital content they want for their users. All you need to get started with free digital content from your library is an internet connection and a library card.

If you are trying to use Overdrive on a smartphone or tablet, we recommend the new Libby App. If you are using Overdrive from your computer or an older device that doesn’t have Windows 10, look here.

For help with Overdrive, start at or call the library at 845-563-3618 set up an appointment for Tech Support.

Use hoopla to stream or download eBooks, audiobooks, movies, TV shows, music and comics to your computer or mobile device, all with your valid Newburgh Free Library card!

Go to or download the mobile app on Android or IOS devices to enjoy thousands of titles instantly. To register, enter your email address, a password; then your library card number and library card PIN number. You can then start browsing and borrowing content, with no holds, wait lists or late fees! You must have less than $10 in unpaid fines in order to borrow media, and will be allowed to borrow up to 5 titles each month.

For help with registering for or browsing on hoopla using your mobile device, see these YouTube tutorials at
or call the Reference Desk at 845-563-3625.
