Hispanic Heritage Month / Programas del mes de la Herencia Hispanica
National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15-October 15 to give recognition to the Hispanic and Latino history and culture, as well as the many contributions made to United States history and culture by the Hispanic American communities. This year’s theme is “Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future.” Join us this year at one of our many events taking place in September and October. And stay tuned for our fun library challenge that will be announced on September 15!

Family Recipe Swap (Saturday, October 4 | 12:30pm) / Intercambio de recetas de la familia (Sábado 4 de octubre a las 12:30) en inglés. In English. Come share your family recipes! Celebrate your culture and bring a copy of a treasured family recipe you’d like to share. We’ll make copies of each recipe for others to take home and try out! You’re welcome to prepare your dish and bring it in to share, but it’s not required (please label all allergens in the recipe if you do). Staff will bring a sweet treat to enjoy while we share. Children are welcome and will be able to decorate a recipe card to take home. Registration is required.
