Regina Angelo Scholarship
The Regino Angelo Scholarship
Sponsored by Friends of the Newburgh Library
How has the Newburgh Free Library enhanced your life?
Friends of the Newburgh Free Library is a volunteer group of people who believe in the importance of books, cultural activities, and libraries for people of all ages. This organization is sponsoring a $600 scholarship** in honor of Regina Angelo, the longest serving employee in the history of the Newburgh Free Library. Students who are high school graduates attending college for the first time, residing within the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, may submit a written response on how the Newburgh Free Library has contributed to and enhanced their life in some way. It could be from childhood while attending events hosted by the library, how visiting the library fostered a love of reading or any other memory or moment connecting them with the library.
All applications along with written responses are to be sent to Friends of Newburgh Free Library 124 Grand Street Newburgh, NY 12550 or via email at: newburghlibraryfriends@gmail.com. Applications must be received no later than Friday, July 26, 2024. All responses will be reviewed and a winner will be chosen by Friday, August 2, 2024. For more information, contact the above email address.
**The scholarship will be issued to Bursar’s Office of the college you will attend.
