Library of Things (LoT)
Our Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional items that complement the Newburgh Free Library’s mission to provide diverse opportunities for learning and engagement. Our goal is to offer patrons a variety of items to borrow that they may not have at home, or may only need once and don’t want to purchase.

We plan to start circulating bicycles later this summer and to add more items to our LoT by fall, so stay tuned!
LoT Borrowing Details:
The items in our Library of Things collection are for use by patrons 18 years of age or older with a library card in good standing from the Newburgh Library.
- Patrons may borrow up to two LoT items at a time.
- Museum Passes have a 3-day circulation period; all other items may be checked out for 4 weeks.
- All items must be picked up from the library and returned to the library during open hours. Items can be borrowed by calling the Library at (845) 563-3600.
- Patrons cannot place holds on items in the LoT collection.
- Items are not eligible for renewals.
